LPC (Contract) — Mental Health Counselor for WI Correctional Facility in Oshkosh, $48.20/hr, ASAP start

We’re seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor to join a contracted mental health team in Oshkosh, WI. This is a 26‑week assignment starting ASAP, with a schedule of 7:30 AM–6:00 PM and a pay rate of $48.20/hour.

What you’ll do

• Conduct mental health assessments, screenings, and diagnostic evaluations for residents in a correctional setting.
• Provide individual and group therapy using evidence‑based approaches and develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
• Respond to crises, perform suicide risk assessments, and provide crisis stabilization as needed.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including medical, security, and psychiatric staff, and participate in case discussions and treatment meetings.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation that meets Wisconsin DOC standards.
• Support program development and deliver education on coping strategies, behavior management, and rehabilitation.
• Follow ethical guidelines, confidentiality rules, and facility safety protocols at all times.

What we’re looking for

• Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Wisconsin.
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Experience in correctional, clinical, or community mental health settings is preferred.
• Strong crisis intervention and risk‑assessment skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a secure correctional environment.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
