Requirements

• Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Wisconsin.
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
• Experience in correctional, clinical, or community mental health settings preferred.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention and risk-assessment skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional environment.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health assessments, screenings, and diagnostic evaluations for inmates.
• Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based therapies.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
• Respond to mental health crises, perform suicide risk assessments, and provide crisis stabilization.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical, security, and psychiatric staff.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation per WI DOC standards.
• Participate in case discussions, treatment meetings, and program development.
• Provide education on coping strategies, behavior management, and rehabilitation.
• Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality regulations, and facility safety protocols.
