Licensure & Certifications:

• Registered Nurse licensed in Colorado or a valid compact state
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required
• Minimum 1 year RN experience

Scope:
Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room, managing patient flow, safety, and satisfaction. Work independently with minimal supervision and coordinate care with physicians, Vail Health, and other providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily patient flow to optimize care, safety, and satisfaction
• Triage incoming patient requests for services
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures per safety guidelines
• Conduct competent assessments, prioritize care, and apply critical thinking
• Delegate tasks appropriately in accordance with Colorado statute
• Provide patient education to support the plan of care and informed decisions
• Handle high telephone volume for medication requests, information, and assistance
• Coordinate care across practices and facilities to achieve optimal outcomes
• Advocate for patient safety and preferences using Relationship-Based Care principles
• Model Just Culture and organizational values
• Maintain HIPAA compliance
