Locum Tenens Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon — Mesa, AZ

Join a physician-led team in Mesa, AZ, to provide locums coverage at a high-acuity, hospital-based trauma center. This role is ideal for a fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon who wants to focus on patient care within a well-supported clinical infrastructure and collaborate closely with an experienced orthopedic trauma group.

What you’ll be doing

• Cover 24-hour shifts (about 183 shifts per year) with flexible scheduling options and blocked 7-day stretches.
• Alternate between OR cases, inpatient management, and follow-up clinic visits, with built-in recovery time between rotations.
• Share responsibilities with another orthopedic trauma surgeon in a dedicated orthopedic trauma and acute care surgery coverage model.
• Provide operative and non-operative care for orthopedic trauma patients, including complex fracture management (pelvic and acetabular injuries).
• Participate in trauma call at a high-volume center and work closely with trauma surgery, ICU, and emergency medicine teams.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and balance surgical, inpatient, and outpatient duties.

What we’re looking for

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship.
• Proven experience in high-acuity trauma care; strong expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture management is preferred.
• Active Arizona medical license, or willingness to obtain one.
