Lead Primary Care Physician – Clinical Lead in Atlanta with Leadership Pay & $300K+

Join a growing healthcare team in Atlanta as a hands-on physician leader who balances patient care with meaningful clinical leadership. In this role you’ll spend about 70–80% of your time caring for patients and the remainder mentoring colleagues, supporting operational improvements, and helping set the standard for clinical excellence across our sites.

What you’ll do

• Provide high-quality primary care in an ambulatory setting while maintaining an active patient panel.
• Serve as a clinical mentor and coach for providers, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
• Partner with Practice Managers and site leadership to streamline workflows, support provider readiness, and implement clinical protocols.
• Lead onboarding, education, and peer-mentoring efforts for new and existing clinicians.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical documentation review, and performance reporting.
• Help resolve clinical and operational issues through clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.

What we’re looking for

• MD or DO with a current, unrestricted Georgia license and active DEA registration.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (preferred) or another primary care specialty.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in primary care, family medicine, pediatrics, urgent care, or a similar ambulatory environment.
• Prior experience in a physician leadership role (Clinical Lead, Associate Medical Director, etc.) and a proven track record of mentoring and coaching providers.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to foster clinical excellence.
• Experience with provider onboarding, education, and peer mentoring.
• Familiarity with ambulatory compliance, scope-of-practice standards, and clinical workflow implementation.
• Background in quality improvement, clinical documentation review, and protocol development.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and experience with documentation and quality/performance reporting.
• Experience collaborating across multi-site ambulatory practices.
