Join our Auburn, ME urgent care team as a full-time Lead Provider — an opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while guiding clinical staff and shaping clinical practice at the site.
You will serve as the clinical leader on-site, providing urgent care to patients of all ages and promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and evidence-based practice. Key responsibilities include mentoring and supporting new graduate NPs/PAs and allied health staff, ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory protocols, and upholding high standards for patient outcomes and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive urgent care services for patients across the lifespan
- Act as the clinical leader for on-site staff, setting and monitoring clinical standards
- Mentor, precept, and support new graduate providers and allied healthcare professionals
- Promote evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, clinical protocols, and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program
- Certification by a recognized NP or PA certifying body
- Active Maine license or eligibility for licensure in Maine
- Unrestricted DEA registration
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care preferred
- Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, or precepting experience desired
Compensation & benefits:
- $80.00–$85.00 per hour
