Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) — Inpatient Behavioral Health (Tuscaloosa, AL)

Adelphi seeks experienced Registered Nurses to provide contract nursing services at an inpatient behavioral health facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Candidates will deliver direct inpatient care, including medication administration, treatment support, documentation, order transcription, and emergency response for psychiatric and medical events.

• Pay: $35–$40/hr

Minimum qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active Alabama RN license
• At least 1 year of verifiable RN experience
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (written proof required)
• Knowledge of professional nursing principles, practices, and techniques
• Ability to accurately follow oral and written orders and maintain precise records
• Available to report for assignment within 48 hours as needed
• Willing and able to complete facility-specific orientation and ongoing training
• Successful completion of license verification, background check, drug screen, TB screening, and flu vaccine verification/declination
• Compliance with facility confidentiality requirements

Primary responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to inpatient behavioral health clients
• Supervise, monitor, and assist in patient care delivery
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing standards and facility protocol
• Assist with treatment implementation and patient assignments
• Accurately document care and maintain patient charts
• Transcribe and follow provider orders
• Respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies in accordance with facility procedures
• Support patient care in observation and other assigned areas
• Adhere to nursing standards of care and relevant regulatory requirements (Joint Commission, Medicare, Medicaid)
• Maintain confidentiality, wear required uniform and identification, and comply with facility policies
• Maintain reliable attendance and fulfill assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Participate in performance reviews, quality assurance, and compliance activities
