Adelphi seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver nursing care within correctional facilities in Chesapeake, VA. The LPN will work collaboratively with the health care team to provide safe, standards-based care to inmates while following facility policies and state regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Current, active Virginia LPN license
• Minimum one year of corrections experience
• CPR certification
• Current resume

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in screening, evaluation, and nursing care under physician/RN supervision
• Document medical information and vital signs accurately
• Prepare patients for and assist with exams and treatments
• Set up rooms, maintain sterile instruments/equipment, and manage supply levels
• Coordinate with medical and ancillary staff to ensure continuity of care
• Monitor, record, and report changes in patient condition; provide appropriate emergency interventions
• Comply with state requirements and facility policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the facility
