Summary:
Seeking an experienced RN for gastroenterology/endoscopy. Candidate will provide perioperative and endoscopy nursing care, perform moderate sedation, and document in EPIC. Must be able to float to other facilities within the organization as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Illinois RN license
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Current CPR/BLS card
• Prior endoscopy experience with proficiency in: colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, PEG tube placement, bronchoscopy, esophageal stent procedures, and pain procedures
• Ability to perform moderate sedation
• EPIC charting experience
• Able to admit and discharge patients in the perioperative area
• On-call required: up to 2 weeknights and 2 weekend days; 45-minute call-back expectation
• Willingness/ability to float to other facilities in the system

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ mental, physical, and spiritual needs; develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide patient and family education and clear procedural instructions
• Use nursing judgment to recognize, report, and document changes in patient condition
• Perform perioperative and endoscopy nursing duties, including moderate sedation and procedure support
• Complete accurate, timely medical records and meet Core Measure documentation requirements
• Maintain professional communication; manage conflict constructively
• Participate in required continuing education and competency validation

• Follow facility policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols
• Meet all credentialing and competency requirements prior to assignment start date
