Term: 2 years (Nov 1, 2026–Oct 31, 2028). May be renewed for one additional one-year term.
Schedule: Coverage required 24/7, 365 days/year. Up to 40 hours on-site weekly (excluding weekends); remaining hours on call.

Position summary:
Provide onsite and oversight medical services for nursing home residents, ensuring timely primary care, regulatory-compliant medical coverage, and accurate clinical documentation. Key duties include medical assessments, physical exams, treatment planning, medication management, care plan review, discharge support, and clinical oversight of care teams.

Required qualifications:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Current, unrestricted Mississippi medical license.
  • Board certified.
  • DEA registration and prescribing authority for controlled substances.
  • Minimum 3–5 years clinical experience; preferred experience in long-term care, geriatrics, or skilled nursing facilities.
  • Prior leadership or Medical Director experience overseeing clinical operations and providers.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations (CMS, VA, Mississippi Department of Health, and nursing facility requirements).
  • Ability to supervise and collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and interdisciplinary teams.
