Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of emergency conditions
• Manage high-acuity medical and traumatic emergencies and stabilize critically ill or injured patients
• Perform emergency procedures within the scope of practice
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostics
• Coordinate care with specialists, nursing, and ancillary teams to ensure timely, evidence-based treatment
• Accurately document patient encounters in Meditech

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Current DEA registration
• Current ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS certifications as required
