Locum Non-Invasive Cardiologist — $2700/day, Inpatient + Weekend Call, Pomona (Galloway), NJ

We are seeking a Board-Certified, Non-Invasive Cardiologist for a locum tenens assignment in Galloway, New Jersey (Pomona area). This role combines inpatient coverage with weekend call responsibilities as part of an established cardiovascular team caring for adult and geriatric patients.

Compensation: $2,700 per day

Assignment details

• Start: July, ongoing
• Schedule: 1–2 weeks per month
• Typical weekday hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Setting: Inpatient cardiology with weekend call coverage
• Patient population: Adult and geriatric; average volume ~20 patients/day
• Trauma designation: Level II
• EMR: Oracle/Cerner

Call requirements

• Weekend call required (minimum 2 weekends/month)
• Rotation roughly 2:4; weekends need not be consecutive

Clinical responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions
• Provide inpatient cardiology consultations and follow-up care
• Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac studies
• Collaborate with hospitalists, PCPs, and specialists to coordinate care
• Respond to urgent cardiac concerns during weekend call
• Document thoroughly and promptly in the EMR

Required procedures and skills

• Transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography (TTE, TEE)
• EKG interpretation
• Treadmill stress testing
• Cardiac imaging interpretation and consultation

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease (Cardiology)
• Active New Jersey medical license
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Experience in inpatient non-invasive cardiology preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in echocardiography, TEE, stress testing, and EKG interpretation
