Locum Tenens Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon — Tucson, AZ

Join a physician-led team in Tucson, AZ to provide locum coverage at a high-acuity, hospital-based trauma center. You’ll be supported by strong clinical infrastructure that lets you focus on delivering excellent patient care alongside an experienced orthopedic trauma group.

What you’ll do

• Cover 24-hour shifts (about 183 shifts per year) with flexible scheduling options and blocked 7-day stretches. Rotations include built-in recovery time.
• Balance a mix of operating room cases, inpatient management, and follow-up clinic visits.
• Share call and clinical responsibilities with another orthopedic trauma surgeon in a collaborative model that also includes acute care surgery coverage.
• Provide operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients, including complex fracture care (pelvic and acetabular injuries).
• Participate in trauma call at a high-volume center and work closely with trauma surgery, ICU, and emergency medicine teams.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care.

What we’re looking for

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship.
• Experience managing high-acuity trauma patients is required; advanced expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture management is preferred.
• Active Arizona medical license, or willingness to obtain one.
