Night Medical-Surgical RN (Rockford, IL) 13-week Travel Contract, $2,052/36hrs, Nights

We’re seeking an experienced Med-Surg RN for a 13-week contract in Rockford, IL starting July 30, 2026. This night-shift role is 36 hours/week with a pay rate of $2,052 per 36 hours. You’ll work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, patient-centered care on a medical-surgical unit.

To be considered, you must hold a current Illinois RN license, CPR/BLS certification, and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required). We’re looking for candidates with at least 2 years of nursing experience.

What you’ll do:

• Use the nursing process and collaborate with team members to assess and care for patients.
• Administer medications and treatments following approved techniques, facility policy, standards of care, and state practice laws.
• Document care and charting according to professional standards.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized patient care plans based on physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family teaching.
• Participate in unit performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities as appropriate.
• Provide clinical guidance and support across units to maintain continuity of the patient’s plan of care.
• Apply critical thinking to promote patient safety and a positive patient experience, and escalate concerns through the proper chain of command.
