Contract Respiratory Therapist (RT) — Norfolk, VA — 13-Week Local Contract

We’re looking for a skilled Respiratory Therapist to work a local contract in Norfolk, VA, starting August 3, 2026, for 13 weeks. This is a non-travel assignment with a full-week schedule (Sun–Sat) and a pay rate of $1,652 for a 35‑hour week.

What you’ll need

• Current, active state license in Respiratory Therapy.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

What you’ll do

• Assess patients’ respiratory status — think lung function, oxygenation, and overall breathing needs.
• Develop and carry out individualized respiratory care plans and therapies to help patients breathe and recover.
• Operate and manage mechanical ventilators, making appropriate adjustments for patient safety and comfort.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies quickly and follow established emergency protocols.
• Keep clear, accurate documentation of assessments and treatments and adhere to infection control practices.
