Required license:
- Active, valid Physical Therapy Assistant state license.
Core responsibilities:
- Assist the Physical Therapist with patient evaluations and implement prescribed treatment plans.
- Administer modalities and operate therapeutic equipment as ordered.
- Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises and provide education to patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery goals.
- Document treatments and patient progress accurately and timely in medical records.
- Communicate and collaborate with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
- Follow safety, infection control, and facility policies.
