Locum tenens opportunity in Lansing, MI for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide clinical-only coverage in an endoscopy center. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, providing supplemental coverage for adult and geriatric patients.
Clinical scope and volume
- Primary case mix: endoscopy (EGD, colonoscopy) and MAC (Monitored Anesthesia Care)
- Typical daily volume: 10–16 cases, including combined EGD/colonoscopy
- Procedures: EGD and colonoscopy with biopsies as needed; CRNA solo cases; MAC for endoscopy
Facility and systems
- Service setting: Endoscopy Center
- EMR: EPIC
- Trauma level: N/A
Qualifications and compliance
- Board: AANA Board Certified CRNA
- Licensure: Active Michigan license or eligibility to obtain one
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required
- Malpractice and license history must be clean; NPDB self-query within 30 days
- Local providers only (mileage reimbursement available)
- Credentialing timeline: approximately 60–120 days
Key responsibilities
- Independently deliver anesthesia and MAC for endoscopy patients
- Efficiently manage a high throughput of 10–16 cases per day while ensuring patient safety
- Monitor and document vital signs and anesthesia care in EPIC
- Collaborate with endoscopy staff to maintain smooth workflow and high-quality patient care
