Contract travel opportunity in Great Falls, MT — 13 weeks beginning Aug 10, 2026. Nights, 36 hours/week, pay $2,433.60/36 hours.

Synopsis:
Seeking an experienced ICU RN to provide high-quality post-operative cardiac and critical care. Ideal candidate has recent open-heart recovery experience and the ability to manage immediate post-op patients from day one.

Required credentials:

• Active Montana RN license
• Degree from an accredited nursing program (plus high school diploma or equivalent)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Minimum 2 years recent critical care experience, including open heart recovery

Core responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for hemodynamically stable and predictably unstable cardiac surgical and medical patients, from admission through discharge, including discharge planning.
• Manage immediate post-operative open-heart patients and other cardiac populations (pre/post PCI, pacemaker, revascularization), as well as a broad range of surgical and medical cases (thoracotomy, carotid endarterectomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT/PE, sepsis, pediatrics).
• Perform skilled assessments and timely interventions for potential deterioration; recognize and escalate changes in condition.
• Operate and manage advanced monitoring and support devices: central lines, A-lines, chest tubes, NG tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, multiple IVs, and short-term ventilatory support.
• Provide physical, emotional, spiritual, and culturally sensitive support to patients and families.
• Follow and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision; serve as a clinical leader, assist in precepting staff, and support unit workflow.
