Job Description
Seeking a part-time Medical Director/Attending Physician to provide clinical leadership and direct patient care at skilled nursing facilities in Newport and North Haverhill, NH. Work collaboratively with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage post-acute and long-term care patients.
Key responsibilities
- Provide medical oversight and attendingship in assigned skilled nursing facilities
- Conduct routine visits, admissions, discharges, and interdisciplinary care planning
- Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with mid-level providers
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
- Participate in QA/QI activities, chart review, and documentation audits
- Communicate effectively with families, facility staff, and external providers
Schedule and workload
- Part-time: typically 1–2 days per week per facility
- No fixed start/end times, no overnight shifts, no on-call responsibilities
- Typical daily caseload: 18–25 visits
- Flexible scheduling to support work–life balance
- Company provides iPad with LTE for documentation
Qualifications
- MD or DO with active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
- Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills
- Commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care
