Job Summary:

HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible General Surgeon to join and help grow our surgical program in St. Petersburg, Florida.

We are looking for a growth-minded, collaborative surgeon who is excited not only to practice excellent medicine, but also to help build and shape a growing general surgery program. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and a desire to help shape the strategic direction of surgical services as we expand access and capabilities to meet the needs of our community.

Ideal candidate:
  • Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery
  • Committed to high-quality, patient-centered surgical care
  • Growth oriented and interested in helping develop and expand a general surgery program
  • Desire to help shape the strategic direction and future growth of surgical services
  • Collaborative and willing to build strong relationships with primary care physicians, specialists, hospital leadership, and community partners
  • Interested in establishing and growing a robust surgical practice and referral network
  • Open to candidates with additional clinical interests or expertise, including breast surgery or other areas within general surgery
  • Interested in helping identify opportunities for new services, improved access, and continued program development
