Job Description
We are seeking a locum Cardiovascular/Thoracic (CV/CT) Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical coverage and definitive operative care in Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
- Minimum of 2 weeks per month
- Monday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM
- Evaluate and manage patients requiring cardiovascular and thoracic surgical intervention
- Perform appropriate CV/CT surgical procedures within the physician's training, expertise, and privileges
- Take appropriate surgical candidates to the operating room without unnecessary delay
- Provide definitive surgical management for appropriate emergency, urgent, and elective cases
- Respond to surgical consultations and provide timely recommendations and disposition
- Manage perioperative and postoperative patients, including surgical complications and follow-up
- Provide emergency surgical coverage and respond to urgent operative needs
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, or an appropriately related specialty
- Current and unrestricted medical license and eligible for hospital privileges
- Current ACLS/BLS certification as required by the facility
