Part-Time Medical Director / Hospitalist — Flexible Schedule, No Nights or Call, Competitive Pay

Provide clinical leadership and deliver patient-centered medical care across local skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in Fremont, Michigan. This part-time role partners with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage post-acute and long-term care patients, provide oversight, and support facility-based clinical operations.

Primary responsibilities

• Admit, evaluate, and manage patients in skilled nursing and long-term care settings
• Collaborate with NPs/PAs, facility staff, and families to develop and implement care plans
• Provide clinical oversight and direction within assigned facilities
• Document encounters and care plans using company-provided iPad with LTE
• Participate in performance improvement and regulatory activities as needed

Schedule and workload

• Part-time; physicians typically cover each facility 1–2 days per week
• No fixed daily start/end times, no call, and no overnight shifts
• Typical volume: 18–25 visits per day
• Flexible scheduling to support work–life balance

Qualifications

• MD or DO with unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills
