Locums Elective Orthopedic Surgeon - Total Joints (Williamson County, IL)

Join a supportive team in Williamson County, Illinois, and build a high-volume elective orthopedic and total joint practice with the backing of an established health system. You’ll have the chance to develop a new service line focused on adult reconstruction while relying on a collaborative orthopedic team, dedicated APP support, and solid administrative and clinical infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and grow an elective orthopedic surgery practice, with primary emphasis on total joints and adult reconstruction.
• Operate with dedicated OR block time available Monday-Friday.
• Work alongside dedicated Advanced Practice Provider(s) and a hospitalist team that manages most inpatient admissions.
• Manage a limited amount of acute orthopedic and fracture care; complex trauma cases are handled by orthopedic traumatology specialists within the health system.
• Help shape and expand a new orthopedic service line with strong institutional backing.

What we’re looking for

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Eligibility for Illinois medical licensure and hospital privileges.
• Interest in building and growing an elective orthopedic and total joints practice.
• Comfort managing a limited volume of acute orthopedic and fracture cases.

Preferred qualifications

• Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction / Total Joint Replacement.
• Experience developing referral networks and increasing elective surgical volume.
• A commitment to patient-centered, high-quality orthopedic care.
