Elective Orthopedic Surgeon - Total Joints Lead (Build High-Volume Practice, Dedicated APP & OR Time)

Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon needed to establish and grow an elective orthopedic and total joints practice in Williamson County, Illinois. Join an established health system with APP support and a collaborative orthopedic team.

Position overview

• Build and lead a high-volume elective practice focused on total joints and adult reconstruction.
• Limited acute orthopedic and fracture coverage; complex trauma managed by in-system orthopedic traumatology specialists.
• Opportunity to shape and expand a new orthopedic service line.

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide elective total joint and adult reconstruction surgeries.
• Manage a limited number of acute orthopedic and fracture cases.
• Coordinate care with APPs, hospitalist team, and orthopedic colleagues.
• Participate in program development, referral growth, and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure and hospital privileges.
• Interest in building and growing an elective orthopedic surgery practice.
• Comfortable managing a limited amount of acute orthopedic and fracture care.

Preferred

• Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Replacement.
• Experience developing referral networks and growing elective surgical volume.
• Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality orthopedic care.
