Locums CRNA (Independent Float) - Clare/Gladwin/West Branch, MI (Mon-Fri, 1:3 Call)

Locums CRNA for float coverage across Clare, Gladwin, and West Branch, MI. Independent practice model covering primarily outpatient cases with a varied, bread-and-butter case mix.

Location/Coverage

• Float between hospitals in Clare, Gladwin, and West Branch, MI
• Primary call base: Clare

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• Shift hours: 6:30 AM-3:00 PM (8-hour shifts)

Call

• Call rotation: 1:3
• 1-hour response time for Clare
• No OB call
• Weeknight call coverage until 11:00 PM
• Weekend call coverage 7:00 AM-11:00 PM
• 1-2 holidays per year

Practice Setting

• Independent CRNA model
• Case distribution: ~80-90% outpatient, ~10-20% inpatient
• EMR: Epic

Case Mix / Procedures

• General anesthesia (bread-and-butter cases)
• Laparoscopic abdominal procedures
• Scopes/GI (GI cases at Gladwin only)
• Ophthalmology (cataracts)
• Podiatry (~4 days/month)
• Orthopedics (~0.5 day/month; includes blocks)
• Vascular (occasional, ~1 day/month)
• Cardiology: TEEs, cardioversions
• MAC cases
• Regional anesthesia/blocks (optional; support available if refresher needed)
• Ward and ED support: IV access, airway management, anesthesia consults

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN/CRNA license
• ACLS, PALS, BLS current
• Experience practicing independently preferred

Community

• Small-town settings with access to lakes and outdoor recreation; suitable for CRNAs seeking autonomy and varied clinical work.
