Locums Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Sault Ste. Marie, MI

Location: Sault Ste. Marie, MI - locum CRNA position (clinic + on-call)

Schedule

• Clinic: Mon-Thu, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
• Call rotation: 1:4 or 1:5 (includes weekdays and weekends)
  • Weekday call: 3:00 PM-7:00 AM
  • Weekend call: 3:00 PM Friday-7:00 AM Monday
  • Typical weekend load: 1 night of call per week
• Case mix: ~85% outpatient, 15% inpatient

Case Types

• Endoscopy, general surgery, OB/GYN, orthopedics, urology
• Regional blocks preferred but not required
• No cardiac or neurosurgical cases
• EMR: EPIC; voice recognition: Dragon

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative anesthesia care for listed procedures
• Cover scheduled call for urgent and emergent anesthesia needs
• Perform spinals, epidurals, and place venous and arterial catheters
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient care

Requirements

• Active Michigan CRNA license (required)
• NBCRNA certification
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
• 1-2 years CRNA experience preferred
• Proficiency with spinals, epidurals, venous and arterial catheter placement
