Overview
Seeking a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician to provide high-quality emergency care in a community hospital ED. Position offers a varied case mix, collaborative staff, and an immediate clinical impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute medical and traumatic conditions
- Perform emergency procedures within Emergency Medicine scope
- Stabilize critically ill and injured patients and coordinate transfer when needed
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostics
- Consult and collaborate with specialists and hospital staff to coordinate care
- Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record
- Deliver evidence-based, timely care in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
- Active Texas medical license or ability to obtain licensure
- Current DEA registration or ability to obtain
- Current ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS certifications (or ability to obtain)
