Part-Time Medical Director / Attending Physician - Skilled Nursing (Carlinville, IL)

Provide clinical leadership and serve as the attending physician for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in Carlinville, IL. Work collaboratively with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to ensure high-quality, patient-centered post-acute care and oversight at assigned facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Admit, evaluate, and manage patients in skilled nursing/long-term care settings
• Provide medical oversight and clinical leadership for care teams (NPs/PAs)
• Conduct regular facility rounds and follow-up visits (18-25 visits/day typical)
• Complete timely documentation and coordinate with facility staff and families
• Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives as needed

Schedule

• Part-time: physicians typically cover facilities 1-2 days per week
• No fixed daily start/end times, no call, no overnight shifts
• Flexible schedule to support work-life balance
• Company-provided iPad with LTE for documentation

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligible for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical decision-making, leadership, and communication skills
