Locum Emergency Medicine Physician - Englewood, FL (Day/Night/Weekend 12-hr Shifts)

We’re looking for a flexible, experienced Emergency Medicine physician to join a busy locum tenens team in Englewood, FL. You’ll work day, night and weekend 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-centered Emergency Department that sees about 20,000 visits a year and provides 24-hour physician coverage.

What the ED is like:

• 12-hour shifts with continuous physician coverage
• Annual volume ~20,000 visits
• Phlebotomy support available during surges, sepsis or stroke alerts, and complex cases
• On-site advanced imaging: MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound
• Multidisciplinary team-focused care and resources to support diagnosis and treatment

What you’ll do:

• Provide timely, high-quality emergency care to patients with acute medical needs
• Evaluate, diagnose and treat a broad range of emergency conditions
• Use imaging and lab results to guide clinical decisions
• Collaborate with nurses, specialists and support staff to ensure patient safety and appropriate disposition
• Document care promptly and accurately according to facility protocols to support continuity and compliance

Qualifications:

• Board certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) OR Family Practice/Internal Medicine with at least two years of recent Emergency Medicine experience
• Active Florida medical license and DEA registration
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• ACLS required; PALS highly preferred
