Medical Director / Attending Physician - Hospitalist (Skilled Nursing Facilities) - Evansville, IN

Provide medical oversight and deliver patient-centered care across local skilled nursing facilities in Evansville, IN. Work collaboratively with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage post-acute and long-term care patients and serve as clinical leader within assigned facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Admit, evaluate, and manage residents in skilled nursing and long-term care settings
• Provide ongoing clinical oversight, develop care plans, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
• Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with NPs/PAs; ensure quality and compliance with facility policies
• Perform 18-25 patient visits per day (typical)
• Document care using company-provided iPad with LTE

Schedule

• Full-time, flexible schedule
• Physicians generally cover each facility 1-2 days per week
• No fixed start/end times, no overnight shifts, no on-call responsibilities

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligible for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills
