Hospitalist Admitting Physician - 7-on/7-off, 11a-11p, No Call, APP Support (Richmond, IN)

Join an inpatient hospital medicine team in Richmond, Indiana, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care focused on efficient admissions and discharges. This role emphasizes collaboration with advanced practice providers and other clinical staff, with a predictable 7-on/7-off schedule and no call obligations.

Schedule & practice

• Shift: 11:00 AM-11:00 PM
• Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
• Call: None
• Patient volume: up to 13 admissions per shift
• Team support: APPs assist with admissions
• Focus: inpatient admissions and discharges
• Procedures: none required

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate patients for hospital admission and create appropriate treatment plans
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges to optimize patient flow
• Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care and clinical assessment
• Review diagnostics, manage acute conditions, and arrange consults as needed
• Collaborate with APPs, hospitalists, nursing, and other care team members
• Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication with patients and staff

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• If applicable, must obtain board certification within five years of residency completion
• Active Indiana medical license or eligibility via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
• BLS required; ACLS required if requesting conscious sedation privileges
• Two to three years of inpatient medicine experience preferred
• Ability to maintain required certifications and meet professional standards
