Locums Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon - Level II Trauma Center, San Jose (Per Shift)

Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon needed for a locums assignment at a busy Level II Trauma Center in San Jose, CA. The Orthopedic Trauma Program manages ~600 cases annually and treats a diverse, high-acuity trauma population.

Compensation

• $4,500 per 24-hour shift
• All travel covered in addition to shift rate

Primary responsibilities

• Provide surgical care for orthopedic trauma patients
• Perform trauma consultations and operative interventions
• Participate in inpatient rounds and postoperative care
• Provide outpatient orthopedic trauma follow-up
• Collaborate with trauma, emergency medicine, and other surgical teams
• Participate in quality improvement and program development

Minimum requirements

• MD or DO
• Completed Orthopedic Surgery residency
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma (required)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Active California medical license or eligibility for licensure
