Locums General Surgeon - 26 Weeks/Year, 2-on/2-off Blocks, Above-Market Pay (Paducah, KY)

Join a surgical team in Paducah, Kentucky, as a locum General Surgeon providing comprehensive trauma and acute care services on a schedule that supports an excellent work-life balance. This full-time opportunity follows a unique 26-weeks-per-year model, designed to give you focused clinical time with predictable off-time.

What the role looks like:

• Schedule: 26 weeks per year, preferred block schedule of 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (longer or shorter blocks can be considered)
• Typical clinical volume: about 1-2 consults per day and roughly 1 operative case per day
• Annual ED volume: ~39,680 visits
• Projected annual consults: ~492 (with growth expected)
• Projected annual operations: ~359 (with growth expected)
• APP support: none initially - opportunity to shape a developing program

What we’re looking for:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon
• Comfortable providing independent surgical consultation and operative care
• Able to work effectively in a developing surgical program and help build services
• Strong clinical judgment and clear communication skills
• Flexible and willing to work a block schedule
