Locum Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Telehealth Clinic Lead (NY, Adults/Geriatrics)

We’re hiring a Locum Psychiatric Clinic Lead Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to deliver behavioral health care via telehealth across New York. In this role you’ll provide psychiatric assessment, medication management, clinical leadership, and consultative support to primary care and interdisciplinary teams. Candidates with experience in geriatrics, primary care, or internal medicine are especially welcome to apply.

Compensation

• $75-$95 per hour

Schedule & Setting

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Telehealth-based with occasional onsite availability required for special cases
• Patient population: adults and geriatric patients
• Bilingual clinicians preferred but not required

What you’ll do

• Perform thorough psychiatric assessments and create individualized treatment plans
• Manage psychotropic medications and make adjustments using evidence-based guidelines
• Offer behavioral health consultation to care managers, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide psychopharmacology, brief psychotherapy and cognitive/behavioral interventions, psychoeducation, advocacy, and emotional support
• Monitor mental status, treatment response, and outcomes, and modify interventions as needed
• Handle telephone consultations for complex or urgent behavioral health situations
• Coordinate care and communicate treatment plans with primary care and community providers
• Deliver education and in-service training to primary care staff about behavioral health conditions and treatments
• Support multidisciplinary care planning and promote integration of behavioral and primary care services
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and adhere to clinical, ethical, legal, and regulatory standards

What we’re looking for

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited NP program
• Graduate-level specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
• Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Active, unrestricted New York RN and NP licenses
• Current DEA registration and New York prescribing privileges
• Minimum of 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
• Experience prescribing psychiatric medications preferred
• Experience with geriatric patients preferred
