Locums CRNA - Outpatient-Focused (85%) in Scenic Sault Ste. Marie, MI - 1:4-1:5 Call

Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan (Upper Peninsula; outdoor recreation, close to Canada)

Schedule:

• Clinic: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
• Call rotation: 1:4 or 1:5 (weekdays and weekends)
  • Weekday call hours: 3:00 PM-7:00 AM
  • Weekend call: 3:00 PM Friday-7:00 AM Monday
  • Typical weekend duty: 1 night of call per week
• Case mix: ~85% outpatient, 15% inpatient

Clinical Scope:

• Procedures: endoscopy, general surgery, OB/GYN, orthopedics, urology
• Blocks: preferred but not required
• No cardiac or neurosurgical cases
• EMR/technology: EPIC; voice recognition Dragon

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide anesthesia care for listed procedures in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Respond to scheduled call for urgent/emergent anesthesia coverage
• Perform regional and neuraxial techniques (spinals, epidurals) and place venous and arterial catheters
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to maintain patient safety and quality care

Requirements:

• 1-2 years CRNA experience preferred
• Proficiency in spinals, epidurals, venous and arterial catheter placement
• NBCRNA certification
• Active Michigan CRNA license (required)
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS credentials

Facility: Supportive, well-equipped setting with a variety of anesthesia cases.
