General Surgeon - Fly-In Shift Opportunity (Sonora, CA)

Location: Sonora, CA
Compensation: $3,000 per shift

Overview:
Join a collaborative, community-based surgical team to provide comprehensive general surgical care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients requiring surgical care.
• Perform general surgical procedures; provide preoperative and postoperative care.
• Conduct consultations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient surgical caseloads.
• Respond to surgical emergencies as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other clinical team members.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation and coding.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Eligible for or able to obtain a California medical license.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.

Work Environment:
Community hospital setting with multidisciplinary support and on-call responsibilities.
