General Anesthesia – Practice opportunity with coveted CHRISTUS Health - Texarkana, TX

 CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in collaboration with CHRISTUS St. Michael’s hospital in Texarkana is seeking a BE/BC Anesthesiologist to join a well-established anesthesia team. Anesthesiologists and CRNAs work in a collaborative care team model. This unique opportunity offers stability of employment support with a balanced call schedule designed to safeguard physician well-being and work-life balance. The equitable compensation model ensures fair distribution of caseloads and operating room assignments. Compensation includes an income guarantee above the national median, combined with the benefit of living in a low-cost-of-living region.

Practice Description:

• • Practice focuses on General Anesthesia and CRNA medical supervision with a 1:4 ratio.
  • 14 Anesthetizing ORs (all at St. Michael’s): 10 General; Endo; GI; OB; & Cardiac.
  • 8 to 10 ORs start at 7AM; approximately half close by 3:30.
  • Average daily surgical volume of 50 to 60 cases.
  • Case mix includes ENT; General; GI; GYN; Neuro; Opth; Oral/Max; Ortho; Plastics; URO; and Vascular.
  • Pediatric cases are limited (healthy child-age, no babies) primarily for dental procedures.
  • Epidural services are provided by CRNAs 24/7.
  • Dedicated Cardiac Anesthesia team manages all cardiac and major thoracic cases.
  • Additional clinical support includes Anesthesia Technicians, Hospitalists, and Intensivists.
  • Call duties: 1 weekday per week (not in-house); 1 weekend every six weeks; Post call day off; and only one in-house weekday call every 6 weeks.

Qualifications:

• • Unrestricted Texas License at the start of practice
  • Texas registered DEA
  • BC/BE Residency trained in Anesthesia
