Remote Locums Tele-Neurology Physician — Des Moines, IA

We are seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible neurologists to join a fully remote locum tele-neurology team supporting hospitals and emergency departments across multiple states. This ongoing opportunity offers flexible scheduling—ideal for physicians seeking supplemental work or a long-term telemedicine practice. Providers deliver real-time neurologic consultations for acute and inpatient cases, including stroke alerts, via a secure enterprise telemedicine platform with full clinical and technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote neurologic consultations to emergency department and inpatient teams
• Evaluate acute stroke patients and advise on thrombolytic or endovascular interventions
• Review imaging and clinical data in real time and collaborate with on-site clinicians on treatment plans
• Document encounters promptly and accurately in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Board Certification or Eligibility in Neurology
• Stroke experience preferred; vascular neurology fellowship a plus
• Active U.S. medical license required; multi-state licensure strongly preferred
• Comfortable managing acute neurologic cases remotely
• Licensure support provided; candidates with licenses in hand (especially FL, NY, MA, TX, AR, AL, IA, AZ, CA) are preferred
