Job Description

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Organization: Physician-led group supporting high-performing, hospital-based orthopedic trauma teams nationwide. Focus on predictable schedules, strong clinical support, and allowing surgeons to concentrate on patient care.

Role summary: Fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon to support a high-acuity trauma center and work with an established orthopedic trauma team in a collaborative environment.

Schedule

  • 183 24-hour shifts per year
  • Blocked scheduling with 7-day stretches
  • Built-in recovery time between rotations

Key responsibilities

  • Provide operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients
  • Cover trauma call and participate in multi-disciplinary trauma care
  • Manage complex fractures, including pelvic and acetabular injuries
  • Coordinate care with trauma surgery, ICU, and emergency medicine teams
  • Balance OR time, inpatient care, and outpatient follow-up clinics
  • Maintain timely, high-quality documentation and patient-centered care

Qualifications

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship
  • Experience with high-acuity trauma cases preferred
  • Expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture care strongly preferred
  • Eligible for Arizona medical licensure and able to obtain/maintain hospital privileges
