Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon (Fellowship-Trained) — Tucson, AZ

Position highlights

• Provide orthopedic trauma and acute care surgery (ACS) coverage alongside an experienced orthopedic trauma partner.
• Schedule: 183 24-hour shifts per year, organized in structured seven-day blocks with built-in recovery time.
• Balanced practice with dedicated OR time, follow-up clinic, and APP support to optimize workflow and patient care.

Clinical focus

• Manage high-acuity orthopedic trauma, including comprehensive surgical and post-operative care.
• Required expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture fixation and complex trauma reconstruction.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary trauma and surgical teams to deliver coordinated patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with complex musculoskeletal trauma.
• Perform trauma-related surgical procedures and provide inpatient and outpatient follow-up.
• Participate in trauma call coverage and acute care surgery support.
• Work with APPs, nursing, and hospital teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship.
• Demonstrated experience in high-acuity trauma care, with strong pelvic and acetabular fracture skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaborative abilities.
• Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care.
