Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on physician to provide clinical leadership across our primary care practices in Northampton and Amherst, MA. In this role you’ll balance patient care (about 70% clinical) with administrative leadership (about 30%), partnering with clinicians and staff to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while improving operations and outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Set and champion clinical standards, quality, and patient safety across sites.
- Mentor, coach, and evaluate primary care providers; support ongoing professional development.
- Lead performance improvement projects and drive practice transformation efforts.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee risk management activities.
- Optimize care delivery through workflow redesign, staffing models, and team-based care.
- Advance population health and value-based care programs in coordination with payers.
- Use the EHR and clinical data to identify opportunities, measure impact, and improve efficiency.
- Improve the patient experience and lead service recovery when issues arise.
Compensation and benefits
- Competitive salary range: $225,000–$275,000 (dependent on experience)

What we’re looking for
- MD or DO with an active Massachusetts medical license
- Board certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- At least 5 years of outpatient primary care experience
- Proven clinical leadership experience, ideally as a Medical Director or lead physician
- Strong communication and team-building skills
- Experience with population health, payer programs, or practice transformation
- Training or experience in leadership, quality improvement, or informatics is a plus
