Regional Medical Director, Primary Care — Boston, MA (Hybrid Clinical/Administrative)

Boston, MA — Hybrid corporate/clinical role leading multiple outpatient primary care sites in and around Boston. Approximately three days per week dedicated to administrative and strategic responsibilities and one to two days per week providing patient care at a local site.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight across multiple primary care clinics.
• Develop and implement clinical operations, quality improvement, and value-based care initiatives.
• Align clinical practice with organizational strategy, performance metrics, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and support site medical and clinical staff; recruit and retain providers as needed.
• Monitor clinical outcomes, patient experience, and financial performance; drive improvements.
• Coordinate with operations, finance, and executive leadership on budgeting, staffing, and program development.
• Participate in payer negotiations and reporting related to value-based contracts.
• Maintain a part-time clinical panel and provide direct patient care.

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary range: $270,000–$320,000+ (dependent on incentives)

Required qualifications (non-negotiable)

• Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active clinical primary care experience
• Demonstrated experience in value-based care models
• Clinical leadership experience (oversight of clinics, providers, or clinical programs)

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in startup or early-stage healthcare organizations
• Prior remote (work-from-home) experience
• Geriatrics experience
• Spanish language proficiency
