Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Orthopedics (Bone & Joints), Nights — Herrin, IL

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state required)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Prior orthopedic or surgical nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and time-management skills
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to orthopedic patients, including pre- and post-operative care for joint and bone surgeries
• Perform musculoskeletal assessments and monitor recovery progress
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and ordered treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor surgical sites, casts, traction devices, and wound care; identify and report complications
• Assist with patient mobility, rehabilitation protocols, and fall-prevention measures
• Collaborate with physicians, physical/occupational therapy, and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families on recovery plans, discharge instructions, and home care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the EMR per facility policy
