COTA (Certified OTA) — 14-Week Travel Contract in Hayward, CA | High Pay, ASAP Start

We’re looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a team in Hayward, CA on a 14-week contract. The assignment starts ASAP and follows a consistent schedule: Sunday through Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. This role is open to travel and local candidates. Pay rates are Travel: $1,505/35-hours and Local: $1,484/35-hours.

What you’ll need

• A valid, active Occupational Therapy Assistant state license.

What you’ll be doing

• Work alongside the Occupational Therapist to assess patients and pinpoint physical and functional limitations.
• Help develop and carry out individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Lead interventions and therapeutic activities that improve motor skills, mobility, and daily living independence.
• Teach patients how to use assistive devices and adaptive equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient documentation including progress notes, treatments, and any changes in condition.
• Coach patients and family members on at-home exercises and strategies to support ongoing recovery.
• Communicate regularly with the OT and the broader healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
• Follow all safety and infection-control procedures to keep the therapy environment safe.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement as patients work toward their goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
