Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) — 14-Week Contract in Carmichael, CA

Join a 14-week contract in Carmichael, CA (start ASAP) as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. This full-time position follows a seven-day coverage schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel pay $1,579/35 hrs or Local $1,558/35 hrs.

Requirements:

• Valid, active Occupational Therapy Assistant state license.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the Occupational Therapist in evaluating patients to identify physical and functional limitations.
• Contribute to developing individualized treatment plans and implement therapeutic interventions to improve motor skills, mobility, and independence in daily activities.
• Instruct patients in safe use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
• Document treatments, patient progress, and changes in condition accurately and promptly.
• Provide patient and family education, including at-home exercise programs and strategies to support recovery.
• Communicate regularly with the OT and interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain safety and infection-control standards in the therapy setting.
• Deliver empathetic encouragement and motivational support to help patients meet therapeutic goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
