Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) — Rockford, IL — Cardiac/ICU/Telemetry (Contract, Nights)

Join a Rockford, IL healthcare team as a Float Pool RN on a 13-week contract beginning June 1, 2026. This 36-hour/week, night-shift role (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) requires ICU-based nurses comfortable floating to Medical-Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, and Step-Down units. Extensive cardiac and ICU experience are essential. One position available. Rate: $2,232 weekly (travel).

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
• Current Illinois RN license
• CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• Strong cardiac, ICU, and telemetry skills; willingness to float to med-surg as needed

Key responsibilities:

• Provide safe, patient-centered care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with policies, standards of care, and state regulations
• Develop, implement, and document individualized patient care plans, including education for patients and families
• Use clinical judgment to support patient safety and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• Participate in unit performance improvement and shared governance activities
• Offer clinical guidance across units to support continuity of care
