Job Description
Level III NICU in Southfield, MI seeks a Locum neonatologist for in-house night and weekend coverage.
Schedule
- Shift: In-house overnight call
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekends: Required (in-house coverage as above)
Clinical responsibilities
- Provide in-house neonatal intensive care coverage overnight
- Manage critically ill, premature, and high-risk neonates in a tertiary Level III NICU
- Respond to neonatal emergencies and deliveries as needed
- Stabilize and oversee ongoing care and handoffs
- Collaborate with NICU nurses, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Fellowship-trained and board certified in Neonatology
- Active Michigan medical license
- Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications
