Regional Medical Director, Primary Care — Hybrid Leadership Role in Boston (Board-Certified; $270-320k+)

We’re looking for a mid-career, Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to serve as Regional Medical Director, leading several outpatient primary care sites in and around Boston, MA. This hybrid role blends hands-on clinical work with strategic leadership: expect about three days per week focused on administrative and programmatic priorities and one to two days per week caring for patients at a local clinic.

What you’ll do

• Provide clinical leadership across multiple primary care practices, driving quality, operational performance, and alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead initiatives that support value-based care, care coordination, and population health improvements.
• Mentor and collaborate with site clinical leaders and care teams to adopt best practices and improve patient outcomes.
• Balance administrative responsibilities—strategy, metrics, and provider engagement—with regular patient care to stay connected to frontline practice.

Compensation & benefits

• Base pay range: $270,000–$320,000+ (performance incentives available)

Required (non-negotiable)

• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Primary care experience with demonstrated clinical leadership
• Experience and comfort working in value-based care models

Preferred

• Background in startup or early-stage healthcare organizations
• Experience delivering care at home (home-based care programs)
• Geriatrics experience
• Spanish language proficiency
