Overview:
Join a collaborative OB/GYN team providing comprehensive care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, newborn nursery, and post-op gynecology settings. This role requires clinical competence, strong judgment, effective communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure and graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • At least 2 years of acute care nursing experience (minimum 1 year required)
  • Current BLS certification
  • ACLS and Neonatal Resuscitation certification
  • STABLE certification
  • Successful completion of general nursing and unit-specific orientation
  • Proficient computer, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Must comply with Maine COVID-19 vaccination mandate
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies (e.g., advance directives, ADA, sexual harassment)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Independently assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process for assigned OB/GYN patients
  • Deliver holistic, age-appropriate care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology populations
  • Perform unit-specific clinical skills competently and demonstrate sound nursing judgment and teaching ability
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary staff to manage patient care, supplies, and equipment
  • Support continuous quality improvement and uphold professional standards of nursing practice and organizational mission, vision, and values
