We’re seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a 14-week contract in Hampton, NH, starting ASAP. This is a local, non-travel position with a schedule of Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, and Fri from 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Compensation is $1,364 per 40-hour week.

What you’ll need

  • Active, valid LPN license for the state
  • BLS certification

What you’ll do
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. Typical duties include medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, vital sign monitoring, and collecting samples for lab tests. You’ll perform focused patient assessments (history, physical findings, medication review) to help develop and carry out individualized care plans. Accurate documentation of patient status, treatments, and medications is expected.

You’ll also:

  • Monitor and manage wounds, catheters, and IV lines, watching for signs of infection or complications
  • Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care
  • Assist with patient comfort, positioning, mobility, and pain management
  • Respond promptly in emergencies and provide basic life support as needed
  • Follow strict infection control practices and handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and advocate for patient rights and needs
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team—RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs/UAPs and support staff—to ensure coordinated care
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned
  • Stay current with nursing best practices through continuing education
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
